Hi all,
This is a topic that's difficult to get answers for, so I thought I'd ask it, and we can all clear up some misconceptions.
For US Med grads, USMLE Step 3 is of course essential after the first year of residency. They should be able to get a residency with just the Steps 1,2 and 2CS
For IMGs, if they get a residency, then they need to clear the Step 3 within 1 year.
Now who takes the Step 3 even before starting residency, and does it help?
- US grads and IMGs hoping to get a better residency?
- IMGs hoping to get a H1 visa?
- Certain state requirements?
Pls give ur opinions!
