Hi everybody: I'm in the middle of my prep for the CK, and I would like your expert opinion on the Pretest series. I used a couple of their books when I studied for the Step 1, with good results. But... not having a nice experience now. I keep getting low scores, and I feel some questions are ambiguous... specifically the Surgery one. Does someone else have the same problem? And, if you already took the exam: did you find them useful? Thank you guys!!!

The answers are good in pretest, but the questions are not like the real exam, I suggets you invest your time on other questions that more like the real thing.

i agree that qs in pretest are not usually thought to be reflective of exam qs. however, one good feature the series has is subspeciality wise subdivisions. in q book, all the IM qs are mixed. here they r divided into subspecialities, which helps revision onceuve completed a subtopic.

Dear shumaila, DrChamita, and study_ing thank you very much for your input; this leaves me more relax now. I think I’m going to stick with the classic Q’banks that everybody recommends.
