Took test about 6 weeks ago ... recently found out I passed.

I wrote this the day of the exam - my crazy step 2 cs impression:

12 patients, used paper and pen. Kept forgetting to wash hands - once washed in the end. Didnt wipe stethoscope with etoh - but proctor in area
made a big deal of doing that - (what bullshit). Some ppl (patients) were REALLY trying to act hard others were just sitting there blankly "no" "no" "no"
Last patient wanted to obviously get out of there, so she told me her whole story without me even asking more than much.
Followed LIQORAAA and then pertinents from PAMHUGSFOSS always asked SODA (tobacco, etoh, drugs, sex) sometimes occupation too...
Often felt barely enough time however was generally done in 10-13 minutes with patient and 5-8 minutes with note.
Jumped around with note. Forgot to put some things on note that i did on exam (important stuff too...)
Hardly any positive findings unless they jump out at you...As in guy with 2 painted bruises, etc.
For parent case (or maybe phone for you) obviously no PE - made a big point of telling him to bring kid in.
Probably didnt counsel as much as I should have...

Hopefully didnt fail. If only 5-10% fail, then out of 24 students that were there only 1 or 2 did and I dont think I was in the bottom 1-2. About 1/2 there were american students other half foreign, indians, arabs, africans, some carib grads. Quiet a few seemed nervous but not americans. Out of 24 ppl 2 didnt bring coat 1 didnt bring stethoscope which was provided. I was nervous that I had no watch since I dont have an analog watch but maybe it was for the best as I just used my "internal clock" and they give 5 minute warning in exam which is conveniet. There are no clocks in rooms so when I wanted to take pulse rate I had to only guess. Recheked blood pressure once b/c patient was kinda hinting at it and it was guy with orthostasis and hematemesis. Place is run like the military and they give a very thorough and nice introduction, give chance to ask questions but dont really answer anything related to actually doing the exam. They provide list of approved abbreviations and tell you its ok to palpate inguinal LN's and auscultate female's mitral area. however when I had to auscultate female i didnt do it in real mitral area. I just auscultated midline over the sternum - hopefully who cares?

yeah seriously, i think the moderators should edit out the second half of his post. first of all he can get in lots of trouble and secondly, lets not bring this forum/internet community in jeopardy and ruin its reputation.

well i had my exam few days back in LA...i was short of time in all cases,....when i came out every body was out,...but i focussed on the relevant systems but forgot few tests in some pts...but asked for consent on each n every step..did drapped pts..washed hands..did mmse...n tried to cover all systems in every case...didnt tell pts abut the medical term,s n diagnosis..but rather told them that i have list of diagnosis n when i will run these n these tests then will discuss with them abut the managment plan ..n they can ask any questions if they have any..n close all the encounters but still have that anxiety when i think of i missed this or that..what do u think how it was..
