Dear BBB ,
As of October 16th, I will be volunteering at a local clinic for the poor ... Since I can't change my CAF after I apply, I'd like to put this info in my CAF now, stating that this is in the works… Can I list it under “volunteering” and provide the future date? Would PCs be confused or raise their eyebrows?

Volunteering would be fine - with the dates that you expect to be there.
