A colleague at work with some good credentials 89/96/awaiting CS, rcvd almost five rejections so far from Henry Ford, Abington and a few others... Of course in my view he is a good candidate with 3 yr Medicine training in UK with MRCP part 2 exam on its way. He asked me to ask this ques on the forum as he is himself an infrequent visitor...

He made me read his PS and it is a good PS but in second para a statement is like this : " My coming into medical school had more to do with my parents dream than my own desire"... After this, of course he explains how much he loves medicine now.. and blah blah...

I felt this statement is not particularly good for PDs to read.. what do you think .... may be bbb and other ppl can throw some light on this..

I dont see a reason for his rejections....

What field, IM, ER, Surgery? Graduated when?

I can't answer why one program will deny and another won't.
