I took the step-2CS on August 5th, 2006 in Atlanta center. Two to three weeks after the test, I tried to register the exam, the system showed that I already registered the exam and I could not register it. Today (September 19, 2006, six weeks after the exam), I tried to register step-2cs again, and the system ALLOWED me to register it. My reporting date for step-2cs has NOT been updated in OASIS. Does it mean I failed the exam? Or do I need to do this trick till my reporting date is updated in the system? Accordint to USMLE schedule, they are going to send out the report for step-2cs starting from October 11th for those who took the exam in the period of July 16th-September 9th of 2006.
Anybody who took the exam in early August? Have you tried the OASIS trick?

I think Oasis trick does not carry any significance before your result is reported in Oasis. So you should wait till 11 Oct and then try the trick.

the oasis trick is used only after the result is reported.

 Hi. I have taken the exam on the 4th of August. My scores have not been updated either. And oasis does not let me register.
