Hey All...
This is my first post to the forum but have been a follower for sometime now. I usually am very reluctant to post such queries on forums but am reeling from 3 rejects in-a-row in 2 days. I am feeling really down there and would really appreciate some insight on my application. My creds are as follows:
IMG from India, 2003 graduate, Req H1/J1
Step 1: 230/93, Step 2-CK: 219/89, Step 2-CS: Pass (all first attempt) ECFMG Certified, Step 3-will take in Dec
MS (Research-Physiology) from a good US University + 3-year teaching experience in the same school
3 Abstracts published in international journals, another first-author research article submitted for review to an international journal
3-months US observership in a tertiary-medical center with 4 US LORs (2 research LORs- both of them strong with one being from Harvard and 2 Clinical/research LORs- moderately strong)
Presently, doing research at a Ivy-league school on the east coast
Do you guys think if I still have a good shot at landing a categorical IM program for the 2007 match. I personally think that my Step 2-Ck score is hurting me big-time here since people are getting interviews left-n-right here where as I am left high and dry!!!....well, any suggestions?

YOur credential are very good.Apurva rightly said that yu will land yourself a very good spot .ANybody would exchange a stellar step2 ck score for some of the things you hav in your cv.Moreover your CK score is not bad.
PLease say your name again.Your name has driven our love island fraternity in some kind of emergency situation.

Thx Apurva and Laptop for giving me the heads up, guys...really appreciate it ppl!!!
To be honest, each day that passes without interviews, feel more n' more rotten!!...wud you recommend emailing individual programs expressing my 'interest' and briefly highlighting my creds??...or wud that be considered unneccessary/overkill?...am afraid I might not be making it thru the 90-90 filters set out at most programs...
To Laptop...saw that Guruchu was already taken so I decided on Groucho..How about that?  ...Love island here I come.. BTW is loser still available for dating?

NO all guards down .GROuchu Marx is being thoroughly searched.WE are conducting evoked potential test on every nerve oh his body to see If any guruchu instinct can be identified.All guards can be lowered now.SO far he is doing fine on the tests.IT seems liike his name is just a game.

I am sorry but before entering Love Island you have to either replace that name or go through a anti-guruchu scan. And if u identify urself as Guruchu, be ready for the war. this time we are coming up with mega pale dale missile 2 .
once u reach the airport you will encounter 2 female red thong guards, if you can spot them easily, introduce yourself and they will escort you to nearest anti-guruchu scanning facility. If u see only the guards and not their thongs, immediately blind urself and surrender to the guards.
