CS visa invitation letter?

Hi guys,

I have a question. i have signed up for CS but i have not yet schedualled any dates. i indicated that i need a visa letter. when will i receive this letter? after or before i schedual an exact date?
how long before do you thing i should go to the embassy to apply for the visa? in other words how long does it take to issue a visa?

Once your application for cs is processed, ecfmg will mail your visa letter.You dont need to schedule your exam to get that.
I advise going to embassy about 1.5 to 2 months before you actually want to take the exam.
