Thank you for your interest in our Internal Medicine Residency Program. We do have a score cutoff of 85 both step I and step II and we do ask that everyone apply through ERAS. These are our only requirements. We will sponsor a J1 visa in our program. H1 is sponsored on an individual basis and you must inquire about that if you are asked for interview. At this time we do not have a specific deadline for applications. In years past it has been around the middle of January. July 1st is our program start date.

We do sponsor H-1 and J-1 visas. Our hospital is exempt from the H-1 cap. US clinical experience is not required. CS is not required to apply but is required to go into the match. Residents will rotate through trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ and st. Michael's Medical Center in Newark NJ. Deadline for applications is December 31, 2006.

International Graduates - Requirements

· We accept U.S. and international graduates.
· USMLE scores - 82 or above on Step 1 and Step 2 (no more than 2 attempts).
· US experience with reference letters from US physician preceptor(s) attesting to your medical knowledge and your skill doing history and physicals and developing differential diagnoses. – This is a MUST – no one will be interviewed who does not have US clinical experience.
· Graduation from Medical School preferred within the last 5 years.
· Completed or scheduled to take the Step 2 Clinical Skills Test by December 30, 2005. (Candidates must have valid ECFMG certification by February 15, 2006 to be put on our match list.)

We have received your inquiry regarding Fairview Hospital 's Internal Medicine Residency Program for July 2007. Our criteria for admission is as follows:
- Applications are accepted through ERAS only. Deadline for ERAS applications is December 1, 2006.
- An average score of 85 and above, on first attempt, of USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, and then the entire application is reviewed.
- Graduation year from medical school of 1998 and after.
- J1 Visas will be sponsored.
- H1B Visas will be sponsored, but only Premium Processing Service will be accepted. Our program must receive your USMLE Step 3 result by Match Day in March 2007; otherwise, you will have to come on a J1 Visa.
- ECFMG certification must be current through 2007.
Meeting this criteria does not ensure an invitation to interview, due to the volume of extremely well qualified applicants and the limited number of interview slots.

through ERAS only. IMPORTANT - WE DO NOT OFFER PRELIMINARY POSITIONS
THROUGH THE MATCH, ONLY CATEGORICAL for Medicine and
Medicine-Pediatrics.
Our program's selection process is multi-criteria based; therefore,
we do not provide minimum score requirements and we accept only ECFMG
sponsored J-1 visas.
International medical graduates can contact the Educational
Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for their
application materials and eligibility requirements. Application
materials will be sent only to those candidates who meet ECFMG

Our minimum score on both parts of the USMLE is 80 and our cut off year of graduation is 2001. You must apply through ERAS and be in the match. US experience is not required. Being you have your step 3 scores we would consider the H-1 visas. Our deadline for application is 12/31/06.

Thank you for your interest in Abington Memorial Hospital. Positions for 2006 are filled. All applications for 2007 must be submitted through ERAS beginning in August 2007.
Three letters of recommendation, your personal statement, transcript from medical school, scores from steps 1 and 2 (both parts) must be submitted before your application is considered for an interview. All steps must be passed on the first attempt. Scores above 85 are preferred. Your ECFMG certificate is required prior to an interview. No US experience is required.
We offer both J1 and H1b visas. Applicants wanting H1b visas must complete step 3 prior to being ranked for a position. Some residents are competing their OPT at Abington Memorial on an F1 visa.
You will receive notification by email after your application has been reviewed. Applicants receiving an interview call will be given a few dates from which to choose. Interviews will be held in November, December and January. A few pre-match positions are offered each year.

Below is the criteria for applying to our program:
We only accept applications through ERAS: no paper applications are
accepted. We accept J-1 visas and H1 visas if you are already working under
one. There are only a couple of minimum requirements: USMLE scores must be
80 and above, we look for excellence in medical transcripts and clinical
experience (experience does not have to be in the USA, but it is preferred).
Approximately three quarters of our 30 residents are foreign medical
graduates. We interview many applicants to accept approximately 10 positions
for a 3 year categorical general internal
medicine residency position each year (We do not offer a preliminary year).
Applications through ERAS are accepted through November 30th each year. We
make appointments for interviews starting in the beginning of November
through the end of January each year. We do not require that foreign
medical graduates be ECFMG certified when they apply to the program, but it
is
strongly recommended. If you were to match with us you MUST be ECFMG
certified to start work in our program. There are no other special
criteria. We accept any graduation year. No research experience is
necessary. We participate in the NRMP match. For 2006, we had 9 open

Thank you for your interest in the Henry Ford Hospital Internal
Medicine Residency program. We hope that the following information will
answer your questions and further your interest in applying to our
program.
We will be accepting applications through ERAS only, beginning
September 1, 2005 and ending December 1, 2005. We accept applications
from all interested applicants. We sponsor both J-1 and H1-b visas for
international medical graduates. Our program is exempt from the H1-b
cap. It is a requirement for all medical students to have successfully
passed both the USMLE steps I and II before beginning residency. You do
not however have to have passed them both before applying. You must

Our program will be participating in ERAS and will be accepting only
electronic applications. Our minium score preferences are 82 on each step
on the first attempt. Must have graduated from medical school 2001 or
later. Clinical experience is preferred, but not required. Our

We are pleased to learn of your interest in our Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at the Palmetto Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Our residency program continues to be a primary focus of the Department of Medicine and whether your future plans include subspecialty training or general practice, our goal is to provide the training necessary for you to complete the program as a first rate internist.

International medical graduates are accepted, however we do not sponsor visas of any type. You must have a valid work authorization, permanent resident card or US citizenship.
We prefer USMLE scores of at least 80 in the first attempt at each step. Having passed CSA. We require your USMLE transcript and your ECFMG certificate.
Preferably graduates from medical school within past five to eight years or having completed a residency program elsewhere.
No US clinical work experience required
Each application is individually reviewed and all criteria will be considered (medical school grades and letters of recommendation, etc)
US clinical experience is not required.

Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in the Fuld Campus Internal Medicine Residency Program at Capital Health System, Trenton, NJ.
Currently our program has no unfilled positions for the 2005 – 2006 academic year, nor do we expect any vacancies for the 2006 – 2007 academic year.
The answers to the most common questions about applying to our categorical program are:
* Method of Application: ERAS only
* Deadline: January 15, 2007
* Required Documents: ECFMG / USMLE transcript / Medical School transcript / 3 letters of recommendation
* Visa sponsorship: none
* USMLE’s: no more than 1 failure
* USMLE scores: no minimum
* Applications from IMG’s: encouraged
We will fully review all applications that meet the above criteria. Last year about 15% of those whose applications were fully reviewed were invited for interviews. Characteristics which are apt to lead to an invitation for interview include the presence of 2 or 3 or more of the following:
· attitudes expressed in the Personal Statement
· strong letters of recommendation (especially from academic environments)
· high rank in Medical School
· clinical experience in the United States
· familiarity with the health care environment in the U.S.
· advanced clinical training in a home country
· strong USMLE scores
· demonstrated record of success in research settings
International Medical Graduates who have completed all the necessary steps for ECFMG certification are more apt to be invited for an interview than those who have steps yet to complete. Applicants must be US citizens or Permanent Resident (green card holder) to qualify.

Criteria for applicants:
• Applications are accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application System) only. Deadline for 2006-2007 is Dec. 17, 2005.
• We are looking for applicants who are not more than 5 years out of medical school.
• You must have taken and passed the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 with scores of 87 or above.
• You will need at least 2 current letters of recommendation.
• International Medical Graduates should obtain sponsorship for their visas through ECFMG for J-1. The program sponsors J-1 and will consider H-1 on a case by case basis. Anyone applying for an H-1 must have taken step 3 of the USMLE.
• US clinical experience is preferred, but not required.

We accept applications only through ERAS beginning Sept. 1 and ending Dec. 31. Our interview season begins the middle of November and goes through the end of January. We sponsor J-1 visas and this year we have sponsored H-1 visas on a case-by-case basis – the decision has not been made yet as to whether we will sponsor H-1 visas for 2007. We would like at least an 83 on step 1 of the USMLEs and step 2 and 3 must be successfully completed before entering program. We would prefer some US experience but do not require it. We do offer some pre-matches and do accept FMGs - about half of our residents are FMGs. There is no cut-off date concerning graduation year but do look at activity since graduation.
