i was wondering about the Number of LORs to select when you apply to the residency program. sometimes, numbers that are reqired is on the website, or you can get the information when you call the program. when i can't find the information regarding LORs, is it ok to select 4 LORs?? how do you guys treat this problem. thanks for your support and good luck for everyone!

Almost all of us send 4 lors to every program, although most of them require only 3.

CRAB 816 ..ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE MATCH..I MEAN DO PROGRAMS TAKE NEWBORNS..YOUR STETHOSCOPE LOOKS LONGER THAN YOU .wHAT CONCERNS ME MOST IS hOW YOU ARE GOING TO DO PALPATION-BY CRAWLING ON THE PATIENT..FOR PERCUSSION I GUESS YOU WILL HAVE TO JUMP YOURSELF ON THE PATIENT BUT THEN JUMPING WILL BREAK CONTACT BETWEEN YOU AND THE PATIENT LEADING TO NO PERCEPTION. What specailty are you going for ..Please dont say obs -gynne or paediatrics, though your ability to build rapport with paediatric patients will weight heavily in your favour. I made all assumptions based on my presumption that your avataar is your real picture. If not then all said doesnt apply to you..

no joke, lap top... i know i shouldn't apply for the program except peds or NICU in the future... my dream is to become internist but in that case, i should specialize in liver disease. i'm lot more jaundiced than real patients... don't worry about my stethoscope. i'm asking Littman to make the smaller one for me thanks though

thANKS cRAB FOR taking my analysis in good light.I tought it was gangrene (your limbs are also swollen.)untill you pointed out that its juandice. There is a shining light on your left in your picture .Is that a phototherapy bulb..I am really worried about the risk of kernicterus. LIver disease -very good idea;but make sure you apply to paediatrics also; You will do wonders in paediatric world and do what no paediatrician has been able to do so far.WOndering what- YOu will extract a good history from the newborns and infants.Mentioning the good rapport you will establish with them would amount to redundancy error.
