what's the reasoning behind this questions? Is is that ciliary clearance is only for bacteria, but not for fungi/virus? (it was an NBME question, so i don't know what the correct answer is)

i guess this answer because impaired mucocilliary function pt have more chances of aspiration pnemonia stap normal bacterial flora of oral cavity
