to bbb and any one who knows .dose it make a difference to apply for both a preliminary and categorical position in the same program?dose it look bad as if you are not interested or something?

If you applied and interviewed for categorical med only, can you rank both categorical and prelim for a particular program?
I never mentioned to them about prelim.
