Patient luckily went to a smart doc for his chemotherapy. was given prophylaxis for Tumor lysis syndrome. developed severe toxic s/e . His smart doc had unluckily treated him with which one, without thinking..?

hydrocxychloroquine too ..
allopurinol is given for prophylaxis of tumor lysis syndrome. U're close..which chemotherapeutic drug toxicities do u especially have to be careful about when using it?

3, i wrote with cyclosprine in mind. but i guess most immunosupressive agents wud have taht side effect.

Oh now I remember. 6 mercaptopurine is the chemotherapeutic drug that will result in toxicity if allopurinol is given coz 6-MP is metabolized by xanthine oxidase , the same enzyme that allopurinol inhibhits.
regarding lymphoma I'm not sure whether all immunosupressants cause it but Im pretty much sure that cellsept ( mycophenolate) causes it. Mycophenolate is sometimes used to traet lupus.
