How people are thinking about traveling for intreview? Rening a car or bus, airline, hitch hiking etc I know few people including females who traveled via bus. Gray hound pass cost like $500 and travle as much as you can. Few people even travelled by bus from boston to Houston. Of course all of them were here just for interviews and nothing to do. But for poeple who have regular jobs in usa would be difficult to travel by bus? Interesting thing is all these people behaved like elites back home and feel insult to travel by bus and when came here were dying to save each and every penny. where to stay? With relatives or crashing at old friends or finding a online date?

I'd say that flighing it's the best, in order to stay fresh; if the distances are resonable, I would choose also a rental car. About where to stay....depends how many friends you have ...in my case, I'm gonna use some resonable motels/hotels. GL

Usually people resort to using greyhound and Amtrak as their main mode of transport durind the interviews. Greyhound is cheaper than amtrak (usually). If you have to travel a long distance, you should be looking for a good Airline deal. Start searching for airline offers well in advance (2-4 weeks). You can sometimes find unbeleivable offers online. I have travelled from chicago to baltimore for $54 with continental. Bottomline is plan ur trip well in advanve. Hitch-hiking and finding a date will add spice to the otherwise boring and tiring interview experience. Plan well in advance for it too, start now. Although I have no interview calls right now, I have all the arrangements

US is a big country. going by bus from one state to other will be unbeleivebly long. If your interviews are in small eastern states that is a good idea. I will take flights for long journeys.
