for mild preclampsia, before 36 gestational age, and mother and fetus are stable: Kaplan said treat conservatively, no antihypertensive agents or MgSO4 are used. Can anyone tell me why no antipypertensive agents are used? Thanks a lot.

i suppose cos it is not neccessary at this time but she should be admitted and observed. if all is well then she is delivered at term. if she progresses to severe preeclampsia then mgso4 and delivery with induction of labor. i also think we need to maintain bp at between 90 - 100 to maintain placental perfusion. this is still in the mild preeclamp range. so no need to give antihypertensive
