1.I certified and submitted my application
2. I selected programs, chose categorical progs, sent my usmle transcr, my photo, my lors and my PS and applied.
My question: By doing so, did I apply to programs? and furthermore, will progs review my application as my docs are not even received by ECFMG and my docs not yet uploaded?

if you have paid then you have applied for programs. as long as you have assigned the documents they will received it once they are uploaded on eras system.

So I have to pay before the application process becomes effective and programs start to see my docs.
But my question is do they check my application and my PS if it is incomplete, I mean if they still have to receive my LORs, my medical school transcr, etc. ?
This question is important as I could just assign LORs that will be available in the next days and bring the others in the setting of eventual interviews.

1) If you paid for the programs, youīve applied. If you havenīt, then you just selected. But i think you already know this.
2) It varies. Thatīs my understanding. Many or most programs check the application once itīs complete (all LORs, transcript, etc). But there are several programs (which is relative) that donīt have the complete application and are already rejecting applicants .

ageree with chemamr .It will vary from prog to prog .Some might see an incomplete application and base their judgement on CAF ,usmle score and ps.Some progs will wait for your application to be completed before making any call.SOme may get impressed by your scores and CAF and wait for your documents to confirm your invitation ,Some may feel on seeing your caf ,score and ps that you dont meet your reuirements and will send a rejection even before your documents are received..
