exam date 22/08. score reported 13/09. did oasis trick. Hurray i passed. done with both steps now including cs.step1 99/244.step2 99/246.
can anyone tell me if the score is mailed on the score report date or since oasis updated on 15th they would have posted it yesterday.please pray for me.
do i have to apply for the ecfmg certificate or is it automatically posted.
please help as i need to apply and am waiting for the ecfmg certificate.

it was posted on day it was reported. so add 3-5 days if in the united states adn more if outside.

materials used kaplan notes. kaplan is a wonderful compilation esp medicine and surgery. paeds a bit too much volume but covers evrything. obg slightly deficient in preventive part.hrt/contraception,etc but more than sufficient otherwise. dont need first aid /crush like step 1 as notes are already concise
what needs to be done is kap notes + lectures + uw timed mode. completed uw in a 10 day period. divided it into tests of 8 blocks per test. and some tests of 4 blocks each. only uw 68%. didnt do kaplan qbank and q book as didnt have time as worked full time in uk.i dont think it needs to be done . but it wont be a waste of time if u have sufficient time at hand ie if you can study full time.
IN SHORT KAPLAN + UW IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT.
Real exam is very different and needs presnce of mind. difficulty level is like uw. but questions are not very picky and usually based on common problems rather than rare as in some q of uw.
exam totally different from step 1. came out of the exam tired and without a clue. time mangement is key and need a lot of practise.
will post my scores as soon as i get them.

thanx for sharing ur experience...esp the little detail abt Steps concentrating on common stuff rather than the little UW compexities
