My boss wrote me a poor LOR but his secretary, which is a friend of mine, wrote me an excellent LOR in his place, with his signature (falsified) and his seal.
What should I do? should I send it or should I send the poor (and honnest) one? please advise me. Will Eras or the programs discover it and kick me out?

Bad temptation. I think I shouldn't take that risk after all these years of sacrifice.

Common wisdom says analyze everything before you do it.You are tempted to use your false lor. While the risk of it getting caught as being false is to a large extent theoritical ,the risk of consequesnces being disastrous is great. So consider and weigh your options

Dont use the bad lor (true lor)if its bad or not good.Get it from someone els.Ask the lor writer in plain polite language to give you something more detailed and better.

Since you are asking this on the forum re;what to do ,it seems that you are not confident in using this .You will always carry the apprehension of being caught during the interviews .this will dent your confidence to at least some extent .tHis is the lastg thing you want.

The last one is that if you do want to use the false lor then be prepared to act smart and dont let even yourself be aware of it being false ,let alone people on the forum.

i agree with my brother laptop. You could only use the real one (poor LOR) because if PDs want to contact your boss, that will be very bad for you because itīs a different LOR what he wrote. And I wouldnīt send a poor LOR.

So, iīd say donīt send it and get another one.

Your gut feeling is telling you something or you wouldn't be asking us. Good luck with the right decision and you know what it is.

(Did you waive the right to see the letter - can you ask that it be made stronger and legal? Can the secretary tell the boss that it needs to be better? I have told PDs in the past that their dictation was not the best)

very big thanks to everybody. I think It was a very bad temptation. My application is already good. why would I take such a risk? I will freed from a big weight. And I needed you people from the forum to guide me. thanks once again.
bbb: Do PDs call the LOR writers? My LOR writers do not speak english

I think the answer to your question is not based on whether you will or will not get caught (it is extremely unlikely you will), but whether it is right or wrong. good luck. ngt.

itīs very unlikely that PDs will call your LOR writer (foreign). maybe they can do it with a US doctor.

Hi, just get sme one else to wirte a new one and send it as soon as possible.

AND for the boss stick quicke glue in his office chair and his locks so never again will he do such a thing to any one in his life.

I remember one of my professors did not like a student and when he asked for a LOR she just said i can not give you a good one (no hard feelings)

well let me tell about a similar incident which i had faced.

i knew an attending who was willing to write me a 6months hands on usce lor for some money. i refused and got real usce and real lors of my own. i still thank my stars that i didnt go to him otherwise my appli wudnt be 10% of as strong as it is..

i did it not because im the most honest and godfearing man around. its bcoz sins have a horrible way of catchin up with ppl. remem 1 good / bad lor wont make / break ur appli. but u signed a legal doc with eras sayin u can be stripped of ur residency position and debarred in the future if u falsify any information. hence the consuequences of the remote risk of gettin caught are too gr8. gl and im sure u will choose wisely.. best thing is to talk to the lor writer..
and take the secy out for dinnerwink
