hi...i'm a silent reader of this forum...didnt post anything b/c i had very avg scores as compared to ppl here..i hav a ques 4 bbb...i got 4 interview calls from univ programs...i dont know why they chose me b/c my credentials r 78 /step1...83 /step2....i month observership in private clinic..2005 graduate...dont need visa...do u think i hav a chance to match any of these programs b/c univ programs r v competetive.wat r thier screening criteria in the interview?

lucky I am happy for you, 4 university programs already congrats, however your credentials are far much lower than the competition. I am curious to find out what part of your application has gotten you these interviews. Possibly your LOR's or PS. Nonetheless, I feel you have a shot at matching at these programs because they obviously seen something positive in your application to grant you the interview. good luck.

yes i'm very curious too as to wat appealed to them....i applied in psych and all my observership and my lors r from psyc...plus i wud say maybe my graduation date is aug 2005 n i'm ecfmg certified already...these r just assumptions...but i'm scared to face the competition during interview...i hav no clinical experience wat soever..

dude in psych u wont have a big problem. and remem the progs called u - that means they are interested in u. give it ur best shot. creds dont mean much once ur reach the iview stage - many progs treat all applicants equal. gl smiling face

Lucky you are very lucky indeed.The reason you got so many calls are because most psych programs;

1. dont like to sponsor visas specially H1.

2. like to have fresh candidates.

3. they want to be sure about your motivation and interest (which you have by doing psych observership and lor from us psychiatrist.

and you have all of these.

You have done very well. best of luck . i am sure you'll be matched into a very good programme.
