it depends actually
the best judge IS urself ...i mean if u r fresh graduate and ur knowledge is ok enough ..go to step2 first ...while if u r old graduate and there is big gap between ur graduation and time u wanna appear for usmle exam ..well, i recommend to start with step1 first
keep in mind that step2 score IS more important than step1 if we make simple comparison between both
if u decide to do step 2 first ..u should read few topics from step1 like immonulogy ,anatomy ..physiology ...etc

im a fresh grad, and i think doing it step 1 fiirst, then step 2 is definitely better.is there any reason y u wanna do the second one before the first
