What is the rx for it?

a. Ampicillin
b. Doxycycline
c. Ciprofloxacin
d. Clindamycin
E. Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole

doxy and cipro are definitely contraindicated due to teeth discoloration and interference with bone devp respectively.

clindamycin for UTI..i dont think anaerobes and gram ositibves are a primary concern, E coli is

E.TtMP SMZ towards the later trimester is contra too. it displaces bili from albumin and increases the chance of kernicterus

in general if u have to choose for pregnancy, go for B lactams..they r relatively safer

A. ampicillin in preg is safe and cvers E coli as well.
