from what ive read , it suggests a platellet disorder. however in a UW question, a baby had petechiae, Normal bleeding time and count, and high PT..they called it vit K deficieny.... in kaplan dvds, dr q fiscer mentions that platelet bleeding duz not go with vit K deficiency..but mine is an older version. any ideas?

it may be cos of the high PT which you dont normally get with platelet problems. plus, the bleeding time is normal. petechiae on their own are usually seen in platelet or capillary disorders.
