i gave my step1 exam on 30th Aug. im thinking of starting studying for step2ck,but im not sure how to go about it.There were a few mistakes i did while preparing for step1exam which i want to avoid this time, i gave alot of time to the books and didnt do much qz...
This time i want to divide the time equally...like start my day by doing qz say alteast 50qz a day try to do them in about 6or 7hrs.Then the remaining time i give to the kaplan lectures and also listen to the dvdz...
In the first 30days i do kaplanQbook and start Usmleworld when im done with the qbook..while im also doing the kaplan lectures side by side,Reading them thoroughly ,adding to first aid as well..which i could revise after im done with the lectures once..
i also add all the extra points from UW and qbook to my first aid which i revise after im done with the 50qz for that day..
i want to give step2 ck after about 3and a half months in which i should be able to do 5000qz.. q sources will mainly be Kaplan qbook ,usmleworld ,and Qbank(im not sure?). and also i should have covered the lecures twice atleast..
so guys let me know what you think about this study plan .All i want to do is keep a balance between the questions and the theory stuff....although im not sure if it will work..
i dont know so help me please...

sounds perfect!! very well balanced
however i FA is not supposed to be very accurate for step 2...but i guess if ure making additions to it, thats ok..

Your study plan sounds very similar to mine.
My plan which I am supposed to start in the next few days will go like this:
Reading material is Kaplan Review books 05-06 + First Aid + Secrets.
I will concetrate mostly on Kaplan Review books. First Aid and Secrets will be mostly revision material.
During my reading period my plan was to cover UW + Qbook + Moch Exam.
Then after I have finished the reading material I will do NBME exam + USMLE CD. Then I am supposed to do the Kaplan Qbank as a revision. I will try to take the another NMBE as well along side the kaplan simulation test.
I don't know if I will be able to fullfill the above task.. I am doing my internship at the moment. So work + reading... Wish me luck.

ppl in this forum are really supportive, btw Zaf when are you planning to take your exam..? i am thinking about december but dont know if i'll do it... i just started yest. im doing surgery just did a few pages...

Sounds like a pretty good plan. I think that you could probably do more than 50 Qs per day; it just will depend on how much background reading you do for each question. Also, you should plan to take some NBME tests as well, so you can see your approximate level of performance.

I am supposed to do it in December. But I will most probably extend another block and take it somewhere in Feb after my MCCEE.
