Scheduled for first week of Nov in NY
Will fly in 15 days to NY
Have 400 Qs of UW lest and then Have to make myself to thru the notes. I have been unable to go thru the CK books again but my SCORES in UW have convinced me I really need to..but then CK notes dont cover whats given in UW
I'm planning to brush thru Strong Med as I havent used FA in any step
Good to see u guys....u all do motivate me..

Hi Amygdalaa and Retail, good to see that you are working as much as you can under your circumstances. Either of you planning to take NBME? I had 3 or 4 ethics questions per block. Please brush up on that. Good luck to you both! It is a relief to be done with the exam, but now I am nervous about the result as it should be out one of these days....

where did you brush up your ethics from? Did you hsve source?
dont worry, you had a good nbme score. YOu will do well.
So far I have never taken an nbme for any usmle step- due to various reasons. I dont plan to do it this time.

I havent got FA..do have Crush and Strong Med. Plan to do Strong Med only-half left.. Am I missing out anything in FA???

I am not using FA for notes, only CCS. If you look closely the matter for CCS in FA is the same as UW except for the notes and presentation. So I have no time to read uw, so I practised with FA on the CCS software.
Right now I am doing qbook, as I cant concentrate on reading.

Hi guys. I am at a point where things wont go into my head. I did a quick read of peds from the s2 notes. Since I cant think of anything else to do that will work, I have started qbook. Have finished IM, Neuro and 1 block in OBG. Will go to peds now and then psych. This is more for morale-boosting than anythign else. My scores are fluctuating between 62 to 80%(depending on subject).
On thurs I will do sample cd qs. On fri and sat one last review of uw notes/step2 notes.
Sunday and Monday are the days. God help me!

Hi
my peds scores qbook wee in low 30s.
I did sample cd today. scored 34, 38, 34. Not happy at all. Not even sure it is a passing score. :-(
Lets see what happens. Thanks for all your wishes retail, LisaM, gas and doctor :-)
Doctor, some centers are open 7 days a week and they have sunday monday dates.

LisaM: Congrats, you cleared Step 3...finally done with everything.
Amygdalaa: I did the first 2 blocks from USMLE CD. I scored similar to yours 34, 40. Good luck with your exam.
I am planning to give NBME next Sunday.

Retail, I did get one confirmatory e-mail. But I think we are supposed to have one confirmatory e-mail for each of the two days...I am going to call them and ask for the confirmatory e-mail for the 2nd day...I keep forgetting to do this.
Amygdalaa, your USMLE CD scores are fairly nice!! If you perform at the same level as you are performing in practice, you will easily pass.
If you are unsure of where you stand, giving NBME helps...fairly good predictor of eventual performance.

Hi guys. Done with it! Dont know how it went, but it is over.
First day was so stressfull. The blocks started out reasonable and were getting harder. In the last few blocks I had to chek to see if I was awake! On day 2 qs were harder for me in 3 blocks. The last one was ok. CCS- all cases got better I think :-) although in the first case I took nearly 19 min. I was so scared I messed up that one, but in the end he was gettig better. It was one of those long treatment things and I did not move time ahead enough and everytime I checked him he was still the same :-(. and it was the first case and he had lots going on. Then I almost started lookin g forward to the cases although scared inwards, coz they were so fun. The cases were from FA/UW.
At this point all I can do is relax and have fun with my girls since they have missed me a lot and I them. I have tons of work to do. and interviews start next week.
So keep going you all and it will be over soon. The only thing is, sleep well both nights. I did not and that really hurt me. More than anything the exam is testing our stamina and capability to think when we are at wits end.
