Hi, I am keen to apply for a Neurology residency. Do I need a separate personal statement for Internal Medicine? Thank you.

Great question. Use a Personal statement made for surgery..JUSt kidding you need a separate personal statemen for internal medicine.. Btw are you just keen on neurology or are you applying as well.

if you are applying for a PGY-1 spot I mean preliminary Internal Medicine so that you can join Neurology as PGY 2 then use Neurology PS to apply for preliminary spot...but if applying to categorical IM then prepare an Internal MEdicine PS/.......

alot of neurology programs are integrated that means if you match with them in Neurology you have a guranteed Internal Medicine preliminary spot......so check with programs...those who dont offer IM spot then apply for prelimary separately using your Neurology PS....
