thnx zianab,,sooo much fr those kind wordsthey always make me feel btter giving me great hopes...yeah i can understand hw wuld u be feeling at times,,this path is soo full of uncertanities..may be these r the times wen god tests our level of commitment...but don`t u

i was finally able to complete my cardio n have started wid emergency med...
guys we really have to speed up our first read...r u guys doing it thoroughly wid the reference books too??
act.i had thought my 2nd read to comprise questions n the `adding stuff`
so,,lets all give it more effort so tht we soon r able to enter the`harder phase of more studies`

Hi guys
Guess I missed a lot of action on our forum in the past 3 days..As I told u I was having my week end work..somehow managed to do haematology yesterday..today I will finish Pulmonology hopefully..
I have read both of ur conversations..I read ur step 1 story Dr Pumpkin..similar to mine..but past is just a bucket of ashes..we will score high in 2nd step and add some research papers.. we will be accepted..don't worry.About ur FA or crush query I too have heard that FA is superior.
I'am unable to do much questions!!!don't know why!!falling short of time by the time I finish the chapter.
Zainab now u have picked up considerable speed ..even with a little one to take care of..this exam is a tough phase but Doctors are meant for a tough life isn't it?U r doing great..

i completed my emergency med ,,bt widout questions..n today there`ll be no studying cos of a family gathering..so,u guys do well..i ll start with infec ds tomm,,lets see hw much do i finish,,its soo many pages in notes

Still on pulmonology..also tried to do ophthal and some cardio revision too(I'am scared about cardio a bit..need to revise)..I haven't done any Pulmo questions..so by today noon I may be still stuck with it..today I have to do a looooot...has to pick up whatever I have left behind during the weekend and get back into my time table...and finish this medicine at the fastest..
Dr Pumpkin..Emergency medicine must have been easy for u since u have just done cardio..hope u will get urself together after the family get together soon enough
Zainab, finished with hemat and pulmo?R u doing questions too the same day??

nice change after the family gethering,,the day started late so still slogging wid infec notes,,did one lect along with it...i ll try to finish it today thou nt much left in the day...
zianab,,don`t worry all ur hard wrk n sacrifices will pay but u shuld take care of ur health,,eat gud n manage ur sleep well,,as much as u possibly can...i knw thts hard fr u but i thinka fresh mind does a qualitative wrk

Zainab..what were u asking me whether I use Harrison as my reference book?No that would be too much..I refer cmdt and quick access..very rarely Harrison..I used to do cmdt along with kaplan earlier but now somehow i don't get enough time..so now it is my reference book ..what about u??R u doing blue print side by side?
Dr Pumpkin..the muskuloskeletal system can be covered from cmdt...rest we can cover from doing questions from UW and other sources..
Do u all have a whole plan worked out for the exam??I had one but I'am lagging behind!!!what to do!!Have u all applied for the exam?
ok..now time to get back to studies..neuro..I would like to follow Dr Pumpkin's advise..step 1 portion plus notes.

guys,,seems we r in the same boat of nt being able to make references...
npas,,its pretty natural to get a monotonous feel..don`t worry , uve been going gud till nw,,completing big units wid questions in tht less time..( i can say tht cos i ve been doing med even before u started,,somtimes i do not put even the desired time,,) so,buddy don`t doubt urself ,,u ve been a very good student n u ll definitely do it!! just keep faith yeah i too made a plan,,but have lagged quite a bit. i ll make sure to do the rest of the subjects wid a fast pace n hopefully no excuses

I can't really tell u how much of a relief ur words r..and zainab's progress too...coz its noon here and I just opened it coz i wasn't making much progress..I feel better now..I think the support u guys give me enormous..I will need it more 'coz there is going to be one more big (hopefully last one) break from studies for me..I have to visit Atlanta for the annual neurological meet 'coz my Husband has a presentation out there..so its going to be off from preps from friday morning to monday evening..
I will apply only after coming back from the break..and I too need to finish it by jan last..
lets all hope for the best..

though I have finished neuro I'am not starting anything for now.. prep for the trip need some time ..
Zainab..infectious disease is vast but high yield..just finish it block by block and u will be done with it..
And I'am refering cmdt now a days when there is doubts..else I will keep doing this medicine until jan!!

no problems npas its really gud tht we guys motivate each other n r help each other out in the `low` times...don`t worry abt the weekend,,u have a nice one,,go free minded so that u get fresh n energised,,n then u d be able to finish twice as much.....
zianab,,don`t worry u ve done the most of med,,u d be able to finish cardio well in time have u done infectious ds? wat source did u use fr questions ? i finished off with infectous ds,,did a few ques frm harrisn`s reveiw.. act,,didn`t find the ques tht gud..i m too feeeling sick of medicine,,rite nw reading opthal...

just remember we will definitely get what we deserve.... we have to just push ourselves a little bit more with each passing day n we will b done with this USMLE someday. till then have patience n work hard!! n happy studying.
This forum rocks!. I was feeling so low after scoring low in UW.... but after visiting daily journals I am again back in the mood to proof myself in USMLE....

gosh!!!two days have been terrible,,no studies ,,only passed my time feeling low n thinking abt wat made me take this decision ..somhow have tried picking up a book cos i have no where to go,,didn`t even try fr MD in my own country,,nw its too late..guys,,i was damn sick of medicine,,so i pickd up psychiatry,,done wid 8 chaps n two lect..
