Very bad 2 days for me..I was out of my studies,totally..a party at my house and I couldn't read..friday was wasted for the party preps(I managed to hear one dermat lecture and 1 IM lecture, thats all)...and today was totally wasted. I have to get back to studies tomarrow..can't squeeze in anything into my brain..I'am pretty tired. Hi ethics..u were asking about the reading of notes..well just going thru the notes next day after listening to lecture helps me a lot..see if it works for u..'coz I tend to lose my concentration sometimes while listening..so I can catch up those missed portion from notes. Dr Pumpkin..I'am slow too..I guess we will improve as we reach closer to the exam date. And as far as Harrison review is concerned I'am not leaving any thing..I mean I don't think skipping is a good idea..but plz do confirm it with someone else on the forum too about this. all the best...hope I will complete my gynae by tomarrrow so that I can do questions on monday. npas

I had decided to post only after finishing my target..finished gynae and questions..did not score high 'coz exam was a mixture of obs and gynae...and there were many USGs..I mean do they expect us to decipher a question thru USG findings??? The exam I did was an online..."exam master online" from the US Health services..anybody done that one?Is it a dependable pool?I will be subscribing for USMLE world next month only. Hey Dr Pumpkin, completed ur Prev Medicine? My Next subject is Internal medicine..this one I have to finish faster...1st reading to be completed in september..I wonder if I will be able to do it..not at this pace..see u all..and good luck npas

Hi everybody I was wondering yesterday as to how much of my plan will be executed..well half of it..i just completed the lectures and half way thru the notes..questions still remains..and I will now do the notes reading while I do the questions. Hey Ethics..As u can see I do have a fixed target of portion and time but end up doing less..but I guess this will be with everybody in the initial month..I should not lose hope,rt?I had kept out a 10 hour for studies but is able to give only 8 hours..what about u?I will gradually increase the time for sure. Hi Zainab..I have finished gynae..now doing internal medicine..though I had done some internal medicine earlier this month I have to go thru all of it again.I'am doing the Harrison review BOOK.And also pre test..and yes Zainab..we all can push and inspire each other so that we all keep going towards our goal.. Broken Hearted..though other books r surfacing I'am sticking on to Kaplans 'coz thats what I have..My idea is to solve as many questions as possible using Text books as reference. Hey Dr Pumpkin..just don't worry.. stop worrying about the Targets u were not able to complete..set new challenges and get going..Let me know if u were able to complete ur Hemat.. As for me I have to complete what I left yesterday and move on to CVS... Good luck to all npas

Hey Zainab..Sorry I responded late..I was out for a little trip.I have completed my endocrine and started with my nephro..but feeling bad 'coz I couldn't solve many Harrison review Qs which means my way of studying is not up to the par..anyways I have to improve..no excuses this time. I started preparing this month only..doing my first reading. And I plan my exam early next year..january end. UR PLAN IS VERY GOOD..U seem to be really focused, thats gr8. I would start reading first aid By next month end when I complete my first reading and some questions. At present its only lectures, notes, cmdt and qs..but I'am unable to put my 100% due to time constraints. And may be I will complete it by next month 10th.. I will keep u informed abt my plans.. Hi Dr pumpkin..good going..so u have got ur pace..way to go Good luck to all..npas

doing nephro still..I'am getting slow..have to increase my pace..Weekends r supposed to be wasted anyway..I have to accept that and do my best during weekdays. Dr Pumpkin..which all books r u refering for neuro? How much time r u giving to each unit?? Zainab,I think CMDT ,notes and lectures contain esssentially the same thing..I was reading hyponatremia and I felt even the format of presentation is same..so I don't scan each and every corner of kaplan and CMDT..It is just that reading one makes the other thing easy.. Harrison review is good,alright..there r many low yield materials also included..So additional questions r must I think..isn't it? I want to finish off my first reading at the soonest..But it is taking 'forever' I feel!!! Then I will try to revise the notes along with questions in a retrograde manner. Don't worry about time..I too have lots of socializing to take care of..I guess we will have to squeeze in everything in this little time frame.. Today is for finishing FLUID AND ELE DISORDERS and UROLOGY..nothing else..I must start Next chapter by tomarrow..Rheumat and IMMUNOLOGY. GL..npas

its high time I increase my pace. Two days I have been wandering thru nephro without being focused and sincere!! Its time for CVS and if I don't do it as per my plans I will take a break from Internal medicine and start something else though that is not what I wish. So Today I will complete cvs kap notes__ 4 hours and pretest questions__ 1 hour Tomarrow is to look into CMDT and then solve harrison.. Lectures!!!I had already listened to them early this month..lemme see if I need to repeat them. Zainab, howz ur preps going on? I don't do too many questions as u can see from my posts..but would like to complete atleast pre test and harrison along with the 1st read. Good wishes to all npas
