Hi,
Many programs require that IMGs be "ECFMG certified". At the same time, my understanding is that we can apply for residency even if we have not received the Step 2 CS scores yet. Obviously, we can't be ECFMG certified until we receive the score.
So, bu putting this requirements, do the programs mean that we have to be ECFMG certified by the time when residency program starts (june july 2007), or do they actully require ECFMG certificate at the time of application.

Some want you certified when you apply so they know you are certified and don't have to hope that you will pass the exams.

yeah.. that sucks... i expect to be certified October 17th.. hope they'll still call me for an interview...
