vanshita, anything that delays AV conduction are contraindicated.

drugs which increase the refractory period in the normal av conduction pathway more are likely to INCREASE ventricular rate in WPW. this is because conduction will now occur along the aberrant pathway . hence avoid CCBs, b blockers, digoxin increase refractoriness of acessory pathway--> procainamide may be used
