yes correct smiling face and the complication is avascular necrosis

yes agreed.

SCAPHOID fracture often results in osteonecrosis is because it has large area of articulation with many other bones, namely radius, trapezium, trapizoid, capitate, meaning it is mostly covered in cartilage. And as you know cartilage doesnt receive blood supply, so the bone has often only 1 branch of blood vessel on one side and none of the opposite side. Fracture of the bone split the bone in two and resulting one side not getting any blood supply and die.
