I'am an IMG from India.I have been a very good student all through my academic years and have been one of the toppers in the medical school.Due to some personal reasons I had to give my first step without any preperations at all.I thought I will take it for a trial so that I dont waste my money and then give the exam again to get a competitive score..But to my surprise I passed and that too with a low score 75..now what?I can't retake the exam and I feel like I have messed up my whole career!! Any suggestions?Ofcourse I will give my 200% to step 2..but is there anyone who had a bad score in one of the steps and managed to get a decent residency? Kindly help. thank u npas

Well , when I read ur messaage it make me laugh, because you dont wanted to pass yet you got pass. It mean result of step 1 are unpredictable. WELL pal dont worry dear. As I have heard from various ppl , step 1 score dont make a main contribution in ur residency Quest. JUST TRY HARD TO GET 99 % in step 2 and I am sure you will get your position. GL
