Received the first dreaded email today.
From NY Presbyterian Unive- Cornell campus Pathology Dept. Why am I not surprised?

nope. No reason. I have asked for one. But I guess they have to reject 99% of their applicants? Dont they? Imagine if they have to give a reason to each one?

what about internal medicine? I am interested in internal medicine .

Hi amygdala...I do agree.Really bad time to send a rejection. Hope every rejection is followed by two interview calls though!!

star- I am gathering that Pathology is getting more and more competetive. I personally am not so keen on IM. Your choice of residency should be made based on your personalty and likings and personal situation. So I guess as you read the posts from everyone you could learn more and more about a specialty and decide what you would like to do. good luck.

They sent it twice to me as well, and I heard the same thing happen to people in another forum. So I guess they just had a glitch in their system. (other than an over-enthusiastic bout of rejection  )

I've been checking the ADTS and some of the the programs that I have applied to haven't downloaded any of my documents yet. Is this normal? Has it happened other people too? I only hope it doesn't have a bad significance, such as they're not interested at all. But if they haven't downloaded anything then there is no way of knowing anything about the candidate, right?

friscan- yes it is happenign to me too. In fact I sent emails to two programs coz they didn't come back after the first day. I think it is ok.

Hi guys. How long have I wait for a rejection or an interview?
I sent my transcrip, MSPE, LoR and photos on Sep 04 and these have not uploaded yet by Postoffice. I donīt known if I have a chance to sent new applications. I will appreciate your advices.

hey galeno... no news is a good news ... relax... it will be another 2 weeks when programs will decide to make a list for possible interviewees... just hope that u are among them....
also.... some programs dont bother to reply and say no... so i will start getting worried mid October...
