A 45-year-old woman presents to her physician complaining of fatigue and headache. Over the past month, she reports that she had trouble sleeping, difficulty concentrating, and episodes of crying for no reason. In addition, she says that she feels sad and worthless. The neurological pathway most likely implicated as the source of these symptoms is the
A. meso-limbic-cortico pathway
B. locus ceruleus pathway
C. nigrostriatal pathway
D. nucleus accumbens pathway
E. glycolytic pathway

In the question answer is "Locus ceruleus pathway" implicated in causation of depression. This is nor-adrenergic pathway. But this theory is doubtful because persons with congenital deficiency of Dopamine beta hyddroxylase enzyme are mood wise normal.

Best of luck
