its just so that all of us can learn together! A 68 year old male has exertional thing and leg pain and decreased sexual performance. past h/o HTN, DM, MI. smoker > 2 packs/day. tests show that he has PVD. taking a particular drug which causes dilation of arteries and inhibits platlet aggregation gives him relief. what is this drug? EXPLANATION PLZ a. heparin b. warfarin c. clopidogrel d. ticlopiden e. aspirin f. cilostazol g. abciximab h. tpa

Actually I myself did not know about it (heheheehehhe).I knew only this much that none of the remaining drugs was vasodilator.So searched for this one and I got this " USES: Cilostazol is used to reduce leg pain when walking and limping caused by blood circulation disease (peripheral vascular disease). This medication helps to increase your walking distance by improving blood and oxygen flow in the legs. It works by widening blood vessels in the legs and by blocking certain blood cells called platelets to prevent them from forming harmful blood clots." Best of luck
