I'd like to begin studying for STEP 2 CK, but I don't know what will be better to buy Kaplan's books or DVD with same books and additional lectures and Qbank. Is it convenient to prepare for STEP 2 using DVD?

well i havnt gone thru alll of them but the one's by dr q fischer are good, esp cardiology..u dont have to get q bank though. majority prefer usmleworld. its 90 $ and supposed to be better.

if u take UW, however,esp if ure getting the one month subscription, do not take it till uve done atleast half of ur first read.
personally, id go for a simpler source ( most commonly Q book , kaplan) with the first read..and then take uW with my second.
if u havent taken step 1 or are an old gard, try to give more weightage toadvice by ppl in a similar boat.

goljan audio for step 2 and step 1 if u havent taken the former, are a good source too.
so basically it boils down to
kaplan for studying
goljan , agood addition
q book questions for first read
UW questions for the second
crush teh boards by adam brochart ( review book, most commonly recommended)
