hi guys...i passed step3 today with 80....did reasonably well on MCQs but couldn't finish 6/9 CCS cases...never been happier before for just passing some exam....huh...good luck to u all...

I studied for 7 weeks...following is the material I used to prepare for it:
Crush( good book to start with),
Swanson FP,
First Aid,
Kaplan step 3 Q book,Q bank,
UW-54% (its this that gets u going..did it twice)
CMDT(for skin,and care at the end of life,geriatrics,herbs, information technology in pt care...I tried to cover the general topics),
I also read emergency medicine manual to cover up a bit of ortho,Eye n ENT...
I really messed up CCS cases...couldn't manage the technical part of it properly and lost my way...so please practice it on the CD...
do make UW notes..really helped me..

Congratulations! Imnotamit,
Would you mind giving me some advice?
I will take my CK exam soon. I have done UWstep2 Q-bank;
( people say that it is sort of waste of money to buy kaplan step2 Q-bank.??)
I do not want to attend 2007 match, just continue to study step3.
I want to combine step2 and step3 study together, but I don't know which step3 Q-bank can also be used as a Q-bank for step2.
I will appreciate you help!!!!

thank you..i didn't do step 2UW/Kaplan Q banks...so can't really tell u..but there r few things I wud like u to consider...u will b able to appear for step 3only when u r ECFMG certified..if u have not taken CS yet then the period b/w ur CK n S3 wud be abt 3m( i guess)..so buying online S3 Q banks might cost u money that may not prove that useful for ur preps for CK...just do kaplan notes and other relevant books for CK(and u've already done UW Q bank)..other people might suggest something better....GL
