Well my suggestion to you are as follows:

1. Get kaplan set (7 subject books + 1 Qbook)
2. Get Dr. Goljan's book called " Rapid Review Pathology". don't use Kaplan path, rather use this book. Great book
3. Get Dr. Gojan's high yield notes, if don't have it contact me
4. Get First Aid book. Very important
5. Subscribe to NBME and Kaplan QBanks

These are the materials that I'm using, and I would greatly suggest you to follow, though you can purchase books that can fit your style of learning
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In terms of time, my philosophy is that don't wory about time, just know your material, whether that takes you 2 months, 5 months or 10 months won't matter, what's important is that you understand your material so that you can become a great physician in this great country of ours. I would suggest read each book 2-3 times, read atleast 10Hrs/day for 6 months then you should be ok. If you can do that in less than 6 months, hats off to you. I'm following this method.

BTW, I'm from Kenya, and my parents are originally from Somali. are you from Kenya or Somalia?

...hi maham2001,I aint in states.I am in the uk. if you are really serious about eatin and studying i suggest you go nocturnal.and study in peace .I on my part find eating 3 course meal a day a distraction which leads to further distractions...,hence,Ramdaans a good oppurtunity for me to gear up my speed!!
Best of luck anyway!smiling face

Assalalmu Alaikum

I am also planning to go nocturnal in Ramadan smiling face I have kids . I will enjoy a peaceful sleep after dropping them to schools and will wake up for Zuhar prayer.
