YES. even though they are at lower risk but the risk still exists.

USPSTF says all sexually active women women and with no sexual intercourse starting at 21 y.o.

so when the patient is virgin we can't use speculum. How can we get pap smear?

we can use virginal specula! they are shorter and not that wide as the regular one I think those can help! otherwise USPSTF must be crazy!!!....

mech of cervical cancer in the virgin. in the non virgin, it is HPV implicated causing sq cca of cervix but with a virgin, it is adenoca of the endocervix which is unrelated to sex. that is why a pap smear is done in the virgin.
