hi all

trying to tide over the most idle day of the week.. having some atypical neurotic experiences despite not using illicit drugs..

last night started having flashbacks and nightmares re the psych interview calls...
more so with programs having special requirements.... one more exam and case presentations to name just a few..

hope it does not develop in to full blown PTSD in addition to what i'm going thru,
i wish the pd's are not guarded any more abt disclosing their decisions and let us all hear frm psych programs next week....sticking out tongue

  #52

I did too. I wonder what this examination is all about. Does anybody know anything about it?

  #53

guys...help needed re:when i should schedule interviews.....i have 3 calls till now...2 in new york and one in west vir.

  #54

hi omi
congrats for the interviews...

No. three before interview calls seems to have magic buzz in Psychiatry which has become equivalent to thar desert awaiting for monsoons....

now you have to mention the issues that are concerning you regarding scheduling these interviews without leaving us puzzled how to best help you

re when: its best to get them sorted when you feel most comfortable (Nov/Dec) and attend two interviews in NY together

re else: just write back

GL

hi omi

PD's are looking for commitment to psychiatry as career choice as first priority such as clinical and research experience in this field but good scores are definitely a big plus.....
