Hi
I sent in my lor`s and transcript to Eras and fedex confirmed the packet reached eras yesterday.
Now my query is
should I wait till eras confirms my packet was recieved and docs are scanned and then apply???
Can I apply immediately like today??
If i apply today and the programs dont have all the docs is there a greater chance of early rejection.??
I am particularly worried because I am a 1998 grad, but have been in active clinical practice and have a 3mth observership in US I am hoping his lor will have a positive impact on the application.

So now if lor`s are not uploaded and if I apply ,is there a greater chance of rejection.(grad year cutoff)My scores are 87 step 1 and 89 step 2. ECFMG certified.Need H1 visa.
I am applying to OBGYN and IM.Please advise.
Thank you.
Sorry for a very long post.

my personal opinion....

its very hard to say .u can start working on ur application like PS etc bcos even if u do apply right now ur LoRS wont come on OASIS till 10 days from being received at ecfmg.so u can do it after 10 days.

but remember that ur LoRS wont be uploaded till u assign & APPLY to a program but that agin will happen after the scanning by ecfmg-eras.

know the difference between scanning and uploading!

Hi thanks for replying.
I am further confused.
Eras says it takes 5days to confirm reciept of packet and another 5 days to scan.
So If I apply after they scan, would there be a further delay to upload.
Sorry could not find this info anywhere.
I have my CAF and PS ready and submitted.I feel lost.Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
