If one is lucky to get a IM program on J1.... how does it work 3 yrs IM residency on J1.. then fellowship for 2-3 more years... Maximum J1 visa is issued for 7 yrs... return to home country after completion of fellowhip... when does J1 waiver come in then? Also... ppl who are interested in Int Cardiology which I think is another 5 years after IM residency... what happens to themm.. J1 is for 7 years.. Do they have to do a waiver job or return home before starting fellowhip..... senior ppl plz guide me.... and I know that Cardio is very competetive and a distant dream for IMG.. but no harm in dreaming
