I considering to apply for residency in CA. Initial reqirements for california letter and stip 1 and step 2ck.
I have only taken step 2cs. I heard one has to stand behing in the line. I am plan on taking step 1 and 2ck in 1 and 3 months respectively.
Would it be wise to send in paper work for CA and stand in the line or would they simply reject my application and keep the money?
Any experiences with CA.

You should send application for PTAL as soon as possible. Processing time is approximately 6 months.
PTAL is a requirement if you want to do residency in CA.
