Wednesday, September 6, 2006[/left] [left]To: IMGs Using ERAS(r)[/left] [left]From: ERAS Support Services at ECFMG[/left] [left]******************************************************************[/left] [left]IN THIS ISSUE:[/left] [left]- ECFMG(r) IS EXPERIENCING HEAVY CALL VOLUME[/left] [left]******************************************************************[/left] [left]ECFMG IS EXPERIENCING HEAVY CALL VOLUME[/left] [left]ECFMG is currently experiencing a high volume of telephone calls, resulting in many calls that cannot be answered. This is due to the record number of ERAS applications received for the 2007 residency match year. Of the telephone inquiries that are received, many can be answered by the information available on the ECFMG ERAS website at www.ecfmg.org/eras. We ask that you use all publications and resources available to you to assist with your basic inquiries. Please follow these guidelines:[/left] [left]1. Monitor the receipt of your documents via your ECFMG OASIS account. Visit the ECFMG website at www.ecfmg.org, login to OASIS, click on "ERAS(r) Token Request" and then on "ERAS Residency Token".[/left] [left]Documents will appear in OASIS approximately 5 business days after receipt at ECFMG. An additional 5 business days is required to scan the documents. As a result, the total turnaround time for scanning of documents is approximately 10 business days after receipt. Documents are processed in the order in which they are received.[/left] [left]2. ERAS announcements about processing times and alert notices are continually posted at www.ecfmg.org/eras. Please access our homepage on a continual basis.[/left] [left]3. The "Original Document" policy is posted on our homepage. It provides detailed information and should answer many of your inquiries.[/left] [left]We realize the importance of processing your documents in a timely manner and are working diligently to maintain our commitment to providing you with quality service.
