PLZ can u explain how FFA inhibit the glucose uptake in peripheral tissues.

Glucose and FFAs both are energy substrates and they compete with each other

When glucose is plenty ,FFAs are used and vice versa .This is called RANDLE GLUCOSE-FATTY ACID CYCLE". How FFAs diminish uptake of glucose by cells not fully known but they do impair it.
