This is simply uncaring.
They have our money and should have been better prepared.
People, me included, are already receiving rejection notices from programs that DON'T have their transcripts.
Why haven't ERAS contacted every program in the country and informed them about the delays they are having.

ECFMG,ERAS,FSMB....all bloody suckers....this is just one of many uncaring approaches of ECFMG. Just recently one of the candidate appeared for step 3 on its day and the software crashes down...and these buggers asked for more money to reschedule the exam...they will never realise the importance of time and tension..bloody rascals and don't know what else...

I am asking everyone here to please email them are eras-support@ecfmg.org and complaint to them about their slow service that is causing us so much harm. They are charging us so much money ,not only that our future is at stake as well.

I have started getting USMLE score reports as of today. It's not too late. I don't even think my PD has opened ERAS on his computer.

Thanks bbb, that makes me feel so much better. The thing is if PDs dont know about these uploading problems, they are just going to assume we are sending out incomplete applications while so many of us have gone to so much trouble to have the exams and scores in time to apply.

i agree they should be better prepared and I feel some of this could have been prevented. that being said, sometimes we ask them to understand us if we didnt get the score we wanted or we passed on second attemp.
it is still august 6th. the sposts are not first come first serve. they are competitive spots and there is no really damage here.
let's calm down. it'll be a long season. wish you the best.

I emailed all the PDs of the programs where my USMLE Transcripts haven't been uploaded.
Hopefully, I won't receive anymore rejections before they resart uploading.

its not about just the 1st week in sept, its about the commitment....we all know how strict their regulations are...and we expect the same...don't get easy on them guys..they are all money making machines( why their think tank never comes up with the idea of limiting the No. of applications per applicant, why they never come up with the idea of restricting PDs to interview as many as 30 applicants in a day....St barnabas is one of them and many candidates come to USA just to appear for that one interview where the PD spends less than 4 min. with u....BUT..BUT...BUT..they do come with the nuisance of getting the LORs signed by the BLUE INK..phew!!!!)........american morons...

BBB .... I dont know how come you have started to receive the usmle scores.... I applied right at 7 am on 1st septemebr and my usmle transcript is not uploaded yet..... I am really very mad at ECFMG....as this delay causes harm to those applicants who took all exams in a hurry to be able to put applications on table on 1 st september..

How could anyone limit PDs to interviewing a certain number. I've talked with applicants who never even saw the PD on the interview.
AAC - I said I started to receive SOME - I am still downloading close to 1500 files a day (each piece of information is a file).

just 1 question. has any1 in the forum been fortunate enuf to have their usmle transcripts uploaded. if so then when did they apply and when was the usmle transcript (not medical school) uploaded.

People won't even email a PD to inform them that the delay is not their fault.
How do you suppose that a group like that will ever have the nerve/gumption to make demands?
They won't.
Probably because they are so....afraid that the powers that be (PD, ERAS, whomever) may get to know about them and they will loose their chance to enter the land of milk and honey.
That's also the reason why programs that primarily take FMGs can overwork them 100 -120 hr a week and they never open their mouths.

well i applied to 1 prg on 1st september....and my usmle transcripts got uploaded as shown by adts and downloaded as well by the prg..on 2nd sep....but i applied to 76 prgz on 6th sep.....and in each prg ....adts...say usmle transcript not avialable at the post office..

i really feel bad for everyone stuck with this upload thing. I don't think it has anything to do with rejection letters though. I think the people getting rejected are at programs that don't have visas to give out, or have a bad experience with a certain school and flat our reject any applicant from that school. I don't think anyone would be rejecting on scores not being uploaded... it's way too early for that.
What I mean is that if you haven't completed your steps, your ecfmmg status report will say "step 2 not taken, will take" ... and it automatically gets updated every day from sept 1... but if it saying "no status report uploaded"... well that's something new that no pd has seen before... I don't think anyone could confuse that with an applicant who just decided to apply without giving step 1 or step 2.

I agree with adeelmd.... One of my friends just got a rejection form Jamaica Hosp NY saying that they do not sponsor visas... I think VCU requires 3 months US hands on experience... that might explain the rejection previously mentioned in another topic on this forum..

People - don't panic - program directors know about the problem, it came out in a notice this morning. You don't need to email programs to let us know. It's still so early in the process - it's not time to get worked up over this. Besides, there is nothing that any one can do - PDs or applicants. Relax, have another iced mocha cappachino.

My question is that once the USMLE transcript issue is resolved by ecfmg then would they be uploading the transcript in the order they received the applications from septemeber 1st? And what can be done if your application is flagged incomplete by the PD and never to be opened again because of the constant addition of thousands of applications a day....

when i got to talk with ecfmg guys yesterday (finally!),they said there was no way PDs are uninformed bcos even if a PD does start reviewing applications so early, he/she will find the same USMLE transcript not uploaded in ALL applications,and realise thatsall applications cant be incomplete.
so we have to wait and hope things get on track soon,bcos we have already played the shot all we can do is wait and see where it lands

I called ECFMG... at 2 pm EST.. and they told me that they have made no effort to contact the PDs regarding the delay in USMLE transcripts....They told me that I should personally email them and refer them to the notice on ECFMG website....plus they said that they have no idea when this problem will resolve..and that when the transcripts will be released they will not be released in the order the applications were received...I did e-mail PDs and it seems that they had no idea about whats going on....I dont know about any notice that BBB talking about
