i have applied to about 50 peds programs. I'm thinking about applying to either FP or IM now. My Step 1 is 77, Step 2 is 88, passed CS, and certified. I have been doing an observership in IM and peds. What do you guys think...
Peds is my first choice, but should I apply to FP or IM....which one? I really want to get into residency this year. I am feeling so lost now!!!

just stressin' and prayin'. I just can't help but think that maybe I should apply to something else just in case. It seems like most people are doing that.

and about observerships..I suggest you email doctors and ask. You'll have to ask many before one accepts....but someone will.

My gut feeling is that if you like peds,you will get it. After all its not like applying to optho or derma....

Do apply to a back up speciality like FP or IM...You never know... applying to 10 programs would cost just $60 so do apply
