i am an FMG, my LORS and transcripts have been misplaced in the post and it will take another week for me to get the next original copy and send to eras, i just have my step1 and cs results on hand, will get my step 2 results sometime mid sept.
is it too late for my application? will i be able to get any interviews at all? am going out of my mind with worry, can someone please advice or tell me how bad my position is? please reply...

If you want you can apply now and wait for the LORs and transcripts to be sent to ECFMG.
Mid-Sept is not too late at all.

Hi, I understand what u must be going thru. Be brave. The advice I give u I don't know if it can work or not, but I thought might help. Now, do you have the photocopies of those LORs you lost. In case you have and must be having a set, then send eras those as early as possible thru courier services. Then you can have time to contact the persons from whom you have taken the lors, send them the photocopies and requset them to write exactly in the same format. Then you can show the originals at the time of interview. I think this may help. But do take others opinion before you do this. I am not so sure. May god be with us all !

THANK YOU SOUJANY, yes i do have copies of my lors and transcripts. i will send them the copies first as you said, then when i get the originals next week i will send those to eras again. will that be ok? atleast i will have some hope right?
has anyone sent copies this year?

yes. I think so. In some of the previous posts I did read some saying that they would be sending the copies and show the originals at the time of interview. In that case, eras would update them as "copies".In that case u are sending copies then I think you may or maynot send the originals. But I am not so sure to assure you. You can ask of the forum gurus. Send a Private message if necessary to get a reply. Bad advice to give but if necessary I don't think they would mind.
