A 10-year-old boy develops an itchy,vesicular rash, which is maximal on his face and trunk. Physical examination demonstrates a mixture of lesions, with macules,papules,vesicles, and crusted lesion. yes : ) in healthy children HSV I -> Gingivostomatitis... location is different but could have vesicles. same stage? HSV II -> generally,genital infection(painful vesicular lesion) measles -> not itchy? 3C sx,koplit spot. no vesicular,maculopapular rash down from face shingles -> adults VZV ->crops,different stages.vesicles,starts in trunk to extremities and face How do you differentiate? http://dermatology.about.com/cs/chickenpox/l/blchickenpox1ph.htm
