stool caliber narrows bcz the cancer produces a partial obstruction in the colon or near the rectum/anus..I would say it will be permenant as the cancerous mass is permenant.infact it should gradually become more narrower as the mass increases in size.I hope some one is more knowledgable than I am and the LOLs.

if u really have to, id suggest ask about stool constintency. obviously with softer stool the calibre is not realy reliable and thats y the pt terms it intermittent...
