What are your qualifications? Do you have any research background? If you do get a job here you probably will go on an H1B and dont need a waiver on that one unless they offer you a J1. Most research universities will process H1Bs because they have no cap restrictions and can offer H1Bs easily. Similar to research companies but they have cap restrictions so may be more difficult. J1s (which need waiver) are offered mostly by Hospitals. I have a PhD from the US and ma be able to help if you can gimme your qualifications and intended field of research. Good luck

HEY ALL, If your goal to work on North American market, considering your educational background I would definitely recommend to look into the CRA (clinical research associate) direction. The biotechnology boom is creating plenty of job opportunities in the clinical research field today and for the foreseeable future. The number of clinical projects expands and requirements per project increase, large numbers of qualified personnel are required to handle the industry's growing capacity. SKILLED PROFESSIONALS ARE REQUIRED BY BOTH THE REGULATORY AUTHORITIES AND THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY. You may find this article and the following links of interest http://healthcare.lycos.monster.com/articles/clin... http://www.fda.gov/oc/gcp/regulations.html http://www.centerwatch.com www.ich.org As a CRA you would be looking at a starting salary of at least $65 ,000 - $75,000. With 2-3 years of experience that would go up to at least $90,000, but of course at this point you would have many different options to explore. PS. One of the best options for you at the moment check www.krgi.org for the on-line training program!!!!!!!!! best regards, would be the on-line interactive program
